Our Community

Live a good life in a beautiful community

Keeping residents connected to families and the community is an important focus for our recreation programs. Our community stays connected thanks to our residents, volunteers, friends, supporters and caring team.

Explore with friends

Day trips include visits to Laurieton, Camden Haven, Bago, Abundance Garden Centre, the Rainforest Cafe and whale spotting along our beautiful coastline.

Recreational Activities

Entertainment includes musical bands, karaoke, bingo, the beautiful sounds of the Hastings Highlands Pipe Band and occasional dances.

Gardening

Make the most of our leafy location.
Gardening is therapeutic and social with many health benefits. Enjoy time outdoors and share growing tips with friends.

The Op Shop

Upcycle and find something new. The Op Shop accepts donations and raises funds to invest in village life. Open Wednesday and Thursday 9am to 12.30pm and every second Saturday.

Craft Group

Connect through creativity and craft. Craft Groups offer social connections and the practice of craft supports positive wellbeing.

The Men's Shed

The Men’s Shed meets twice a week creating projects and repairs for the village community. Meetups Mondays and Wednesdays.

As an independent not for profit organisation, all contributions to our Garden Village Community are greatly valued. Our responsibility to care for our people is where we do our greatest good.

Our people

Our wonderful community bring our vibrant village to life. We host a calendar of fun events for everyone to enjoy.

Thanks to the generosity of our volunteers a myriad of activities, days out and events take place. Volunteers assist with transport, the Men’s Shed, Craft Groups and regular companionship for our residents.

Their outstanding contribution to our community is greatly appreciated. Many of our programs and activities would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers.
