Garden Village Residents are supported by our caring staff through an individual, person-centred approach.

As a resident of Garden Village you have the right to determine how you would like to be supported and our staff will take the time to understand your personal preferences and interests to provide a tailor-made experience.

Services

Our team of carers are supported every day by Enrolled and Registered Nurses. Garden Village is fortunate to have General Practitioners on site each week along with allied health professionals.

This enables a holistic approach to your care and includes physiotherapy, podiatry, speech pathology and dietics. Our Diversional Therapist and team of Recreational Activity Officers design personal programs to meet your needs and interests.

Our onsite commercial kitchen and catering staff provide meals each day with a good variety and choice available.

Aged Care Locations

Permanent Residency

Garden Village Aged Care is spread over three sights, Garden Lodge, Westerweller and Wintergarden. Each site with its own community facilities. Across the three areas we have a total of 142 beds. This consists of single rooms with private ensuite and double rooms or couple rooms with ensuite. Resident rooms are spacious and comfortably furnished. Residents are invited to personalise their space to ensure they feel at home.

Respite

Respite care is available and we welcome bookings to help facilitate and support carers in maintaining a comfortable balance in managing the care of their loved one. Furnished respite rooms are available in both Westerweller and Wintergarden. Please contact us to enquire or make a booking.

Residents in Aged Care are asked to pay up to three different types of fees. The fees payable depend on the residents ability to pay and are determined by an income and asset assessment from The Department of Human Services.

Fee 1 – Daily Care Fee

The Daily care fee is payable by all residents in Aged Care. The amount is calculated as 85% of a full single aged pension. The current rate of Daily Care Fee is $50.16. This fee is adjusted twice a year as the pension rate changes.

Fee 2 – Accommodation Payment

An accommodation payment is only payable by a residents who is assessed from The Department of Human Services as having the means to pay. If a resident is required to pay an accommodation payment they can choose to pay it as a refundable lump sum amount, a daily fee or a combination of both. Fee 3 – Means Tested Care Fee

A means tested care fee is only payable by a resident who is assessed from The Department of Human Services as having the means to pay. The amount of this fee will be determined by The Department of Human Services following receipt of a request for Income and Asset Assessment form (see resources).
