Port Macquarie is the Regional Hub of New South Wales’ beautiful Mid North Coast. Voted as the best climate in Australia, Port Macquarie enjoys a year round average temperature of 27 degrees. One hour by plane from Sydney and Brisbane and an easy 4 hour drive to Sydney makes Port Macquarie a great destination for friends and family to visit.

Garden Village is centrally located with access by foot, car or bus to many local shopping destinations, clubs, fishing spots and beaches. Close by is the local Base Hospital as well as plenty of choice for other health services.

Craig Wearne

With over 27 years of experience in the aged care and health environment, reporting to the Board of Directors, Craig provides strategic and operational leadership to Garden Village. “Garden Village is a premier and leading aged care and retirement living provider in the Hastings. Our care, staffing and support to all of our residents is at an unsurpassed level, and the Board of Directors and I are passionate at ensuring we provide the highest level of person centred care and support to residents and families”.

Taryn Robinson

Taryn has strong aged care experience, having held Registered Nurse, Quality Manager, Educator and Facility Management positions over 30 years’ experience. Taryn has implemented, managed and modified several quality frameworks in Aged Care and has extensive experience in leading accreditation preparation. Taryn has Current AHPRA registration – Registered Nurse and has attained a Diploma of Applied Science (Nursing), Certificate IV in Continuous Quality Improvement, and Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. Taryn is person focussed and embraces diversity, cultural ethnicity and believes that people get one life! Taryn takes the opportunity and enjoys the privilege of advocate for people during very vulnerable times in their lives.

Executive Manager Finance
Linda Southern

Linda has extensive financial, systems compliance and risk and HR experience gained over 30 years in commercial and state owned corporations both locally and overseas. Industries worked in include utilities, health and technology and chartered accounting. Linda is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), a Master’s in Business Administration and is completing a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. Joining Garden Village in 2018 Linda is responsible for our finance, information technology and administration functions. Outside of work Linda enjoys spending time, hiking with her husband, fishing and kayaking.

HR Business Partner
Gemma Gordon

Gemma is a Human Resources professional with 18 years’ experience in the role across private, public and not for profit sectors. Gemma also has experience in range of leadership roles and holds a Bachelor of Organisational Leadership; along with qualifications in Human Resources, Mental Health, Community Engagement and Training and Assessment. Gemma’s passion for people and employee engagement shines through in all that she does and she is strongly focused on maintaining an organisational culture that is envied in and outside the aged care industry. When not at work you will find Gemma on the beach with her dog, mountain bike riding or zenning out in a yoga class.
