Learning & development at Garden Village.

Garden Villageis a “learning organisation” that  recognises and encourages people to learn together as they work.  Appropriate structures and systems have been developed in the workplace to support ongoing learning and development opportunities for the individual.

Garden Village recognises that people learn in different ways and therefore provides creative and relevant opportunities to help people reach their full potential.

All staff are inducted into the workplace through the ‘Buddy’ induction system.  This is a three day process of guided instruction which provides valuable support for all new staff, as they become part of the Garden Village Team.

Opportunities for relevant external inservice attendance are also provided.

In this dynamic aged care environment, it is important that staff keep up to date in their field of practice so as to ensure they remain competent for their world of work.
